I knocked on the door expecting Genocide to answer. Except it was you, Anahit who answered my call of healing. You welcomed me home. You had been waiting for me so patiently as I stepped off the road home when I became afraid “I was not Armenian enough” or seduced by the illusion of security or seeking approval rather than seeking the sacred. You were present at my birth and journeyed with me as the great granddaughter of Mary Koher Bagdion, granddaughter of Lucille Kimatian, daughter of Charleen Mary Gould. You laid the path out for me in a dream map until I awoke one day to create the Spiritual Maternal Lineage Map.  I was still lost so you revealed 12 directions to you: Invoke, Devote, Releases-Receive, Create, Instruct, Witness, Liberate-Illuminate, Wisdom, Unity, Love. I have never traveled alone although there have been times of despair that I was not sure I could go on. Then Unity-Wisdom-Love appeared as spiritual teachers. You spoke to me through Spiritual Art practice and Creative Arts for wounding and healing, now you have brought me here to You to gather support and Strength to travel a part of this journey that will appear on the map in Divine Timing not my Timing. Through the map I have traveled beyond Time and Space to caves with circles of women, healing story from Grandmother Mary, Death Camps, Armenian children of the death marches and many more. From these travels I have witnessed the beautiful transitioning of death to rebirth, collective healing wisdom, Ancient Armenian practices that still exist today. Most of all Anahit to reclaim my Spiritual Lineage as a Kakhard (Armenian for Witch/Shaman/Healer).
